Coated blackout achieves light blocking by applying an acrylic or PVC foam layer on the back, with lower cost and a stiffer hand feel; long-term storage requires attention to coating adhesion. Woven blackout (black yarn) incorporates black polyester yarn during weaving, absorbing light through the yarn itself, with a softer hand feel, better breathability, and higher cost. Laminated blackout uses a TPU film bonded to the fabric, with stable blackout performance and a moderate hand feel; composite fastness must be verified. The typical structure of sunscreen blackout fabric is: face layer of regular sunscreen fabric (70% PVC + 30% polyester), middle layer of TPU film lamination, and back layer of acrylic coating. When ordering, confirm: face layer PVC/polyester ratio, back color, and total fabric weight (face + TPU film + coating, with ±5% tolerance being a common industry acceptable range).
