Yes, products completely without accessible cords, chains, ropes, or loops are exempt from cord safety regulations in all five markets. However, note: 1) If the product is equipped with emergency cords or backup cords, those cords must still comply; 2) Motorized product remote controls or control devices are not subject to cord regulations but must meet electrical safety standards; 3) "Cordless" definitions vary slightly by market, it is recommended to ensure the product has completely no accessible cords.
For bedrooms where total darkness matters, blackout roller blinds or blackout honeycomb shades are the top choices. Zebra blinds offer adjustable light control but cannot achieve full darkness. Honeycomb shades add the best thermal insulation, which helps reduce energy costs in both winter and summer.
Honeycomb shades have significantly better thermal insulation than zebra blinds. Their unique honeycomb structure traps air in pockets, creating an insulating barrier between the window and the room. Zebra blinds are made of two layers of mesh fabric, which provides minimal insulation. For energy efficiency, honeycomb shades are the clear winner.
Pleated blinds provide some insulation through the air layer formed by their pleats, but the effect is very limited because the air layer is open and allows air circulation. Cellular shades have a closed honeycomb structure that traps air much more effectively, providing significantly better insulation. If thermal insulation is a key requirement, cellular shades are the better choice.
Our standard trade term is FOB Shanghai. Payment terms are typically 30% deposit by T/T after order confirmation, with the 70% balance due before shipment. We accept T/T bank transfer. For large orders, irrevocable L/C at sight can be discussed. Other trade terms (CIF, DDP) are available upon request.
For inside mount, measure the recess width at the top, middle and bottom and quote the smallest; measure the height at the left, center and right and quote the largest. The factory then deducts a small clearance automatically. For outside mount, add coverage on each side of the frame; outside-mount windows have no stock sizes and are quoted as custom. Always confirm the mount method before any sizing quote.
