Sunscreen blinds provide good daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. The mesh fabric allows you to see out while limiting the view from outside in. However, at night when interior lights are on, the effect reverses — people outside can see in while your view out is reduced. For nighttime privacy, you may need an additional blackout layer or choose a tighter weave mesh.
Light-filtering blinds are ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, home offices, and sunrooms where you want natural light while reducing glare and UV exposure. They soften incoming light and create a warm, inviting atmosphere without completely blocking the view. They are not recommended for bedrooms where complete darkness is needed for sleep, or for media rooms where projector or TV screen visibility matters.
There is no absolute "better", it depends on target market positioning and actual needs. Regular Mesh has high transparency, clear outdoor view, and lower cost, suitable for economy projects, mass market, and cost-sensitive bulk procurement. Fine Mesh has more refined visual effect, better privacy protection, and softer light, but higher cost, suitable for mid-to-high end projects, boutique hotels, high-end residential, and scenarios with high requirements for privacy and visual effect. When sourcing, choose the appropriate mesh type based on target customer group, budget, and application scenario, don't blindly pursue high-end.
Our standard trade term is FOB Shanghai. Payment terms are typically 30% deposit by T/T after order confirmation, with the 70% balance due before shipment. We accept T/T bank transfer. For large orders, irrevocable L/C at sight can be discussed. Other trade terms (CIF, DDP) are available upon request.
For inside mount, measure the recess width at the top, middle and bottom and quote the smallest; measure the height at the left, center and right and quote the largest. The factory then deducts a small clearance automatically. For outside mount, add coverage on each side of the frame; outside-mount windows have no stock sizes and are quoted as custom. Always confirm the mount method before any sizing quote.
Ready-made (stock) blinds cover standard residential window sizes and carry a lower MOQ per run. Custom blinds are cut to the customer's exact opening and normally carry a higher MOQ, a longer lead time, and possible oversize or splicing surcharges. Stock the mainstream combos first; route older renovations, out-of-square openings and extra-large windows to custom.
